We use biological filtration in the form of upward flow wetland systems, which becomes a home for healthy bacteria (harmless to humans). These in turn feed on micro-organisms and zoo planktons, resulting in crystal clear water. Added to this is aeration and jetting that pushes water toward a skimmer to collect any fallen debris. With the addition of oxygenating aquatic plants and algae eating fish and you have yourself some crystal clear water, the way nature intended.
Mosquito's breed in stagnant bodies of water, and as our systems have constantly flowing water, mosquito's won't like to breed in them. Adding to this, fish and frogs love to eat mosquito's, so if they did breed in your pond, they would quickly become dinner.
